A petroleum geologist and oil & gas industry expert with Board and senior executive experience spanning over 20 years with Royal Dutch Shell and 10 years with Woodside Petroleum, including five years as Woodside's Head of Strategy. Stuart founded International Oil and Gas Strategies in 2012, since providing corporate and exploration-level strategy, asset evaluation and due diligence to listed companies, Government, investment banks and hedge funds.

His non-executive career includes directorships with four ASX-listed companies and consulting engagements with more than ten listed companies, alongside Expert Witness work for Government and corporations. He holds a First Class Honours BSc in Geology from the University of Sydney.
